My name is Marco Blasco, a writer and a book lover. I mostly write science-fiction, but wanted to start this publication when I expanded my writing practice and found joy in analyzing and writing about other books. Currently, I am working on my seventh book, a cyberpunk standalone about technologically created worlds and memories. While my previous novels have not yet been published, I am actively working toward that goal and honing my craft.
The plan for this site is to be able to publish my ideas and stories in more organic, wiki-style format. I hope you find it useful.
Right now, I live in Japan, spending most of my time teaching English, writing my fiction, and reading.
If you are wondering why the url is “maruko” there are two main reasons: 1. basically everything affordable with “marco” was taken, and 2. since most of my adult life has been spent in Japan and my life is now forever intertwined with the place, “ma-ru-ko” is the phonetic spelling of my name in Japanese, written as: マルコ.
